Night of Code event on August 21st, 2008 (Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki)
We’re happy to announce to be hosting this year’s second Night of Code on Thursday, August 21st, 2008. Doors open at 5pm and we’ll probably there’s time to hack until 11pm. The location is Kaapelitehdas (The Cable Factory), Section E, 5th Floor.
As before, we’ll start with a couple of unconference sessions after which there’s time to listen to good music and write some code. So, bring your laptop if you’ll be staying the whole evening.
We’ll have some snacks and drinks available.
If you’re planning on attending the event, we’d appreciate it if you’d leave a comment on this post. Alternatively, we also have a Facebook event that you can register to.
P.S. We’ve traditionally held a Night of Code every year when there’s the Night of the Arts event here in Helsinki. Unfortunately we’ll have to hold the event a day early this year, but if you’re around Kaapelitehdas on the following day, do check out the action there. Lots of interesting stuff by the resident artists.
Count me in
[...] Scred organises Night-of-Code 2 on Thursday 21st of August at the Cable Factory in Helsinki from 5pm to 11pm. The event follows a very lose structure – sort of an uncoference as Scred announces on their blog. [...]
http://night-of-code.com/ doesn’t work, time to fix the image or add a DNS record?-)
Jussi, thanks for the note. After a recent(ish) server move we’d forgotten to update the A record for night-of-code.com. The CNAME for http://www.night-of-code.com was okay, though. Problem fixed now, but will take a while to propagate.
Just a quick note that we’ll be getting a special guest over from Sweden’s Handelsbanken!
I went to first Night of Code. It was fun talking and discussing with Scred gurus about the web and it is definitely a chance to catch up with many industry news. Oh, count me in as well.
I’ll be there!
I might be there.
Thanks everyone for attending. We had a nice turnout with some seventeen people altogether. Presentations included iPhone development, the Django framework, the Symfony framework and Setok’s new template system for web development. We’ll have the next Night of Code in a month’s time or so. The date will probably be Thursday again as that seemed to work well.
